Job Summary:

The temporary Information Technology Technician is responsible for supporting computer hardware, software applications, and services by installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting equipment, software applications, software services and training users.

Duties & Essential Job Functions:

1. Establishes, modifies, and upgrades systems and applications by installing or updating computer hardware, software, and related services.
2. Provides technical support to inter-departmental IT teams using foundational computer knowledge in one or more areas: Networking Infrastructure, Information Security, Systems Administration, Application Development, Technical Support.
3. Identifies, analyzes and resolves issues by consulting with users and team members.
4. Improves system performance by investigating current environment; integrating standard solutions.
5. Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
6. Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Visual acuity to read information from computer screens, forms and other printed materials and information.
• Able to speak (enunciate) clearly in conversation and general communication.
• Hearing ability for verbal communication/conversation/responses via telephone, telephone systems, and face-to-face interactions.
• Manual dexterity for typing, writing, standing and reaching, flexibility, body movement for bending, crouching, walking, kneeling and prolonged sitting.
• Lifting and moving objects and equipment up to 10 lbs.

• Work is indoors and sedentary and is subject to schedule changes and/or variable work hours.
• This role is an on campus, in-person position.

• The noise level in this work environment is usually moderate.
