About the Role:

Seerist is looking for a Data Scientist to join our Data Science team in the Americas region. We are a small team where you will have autonomy to create, train, test, and deploy new models on a regular basis. We are looking for individuals capable of working independently while also participating in collaborative exchange of ideas. 

Responsibilities:

• Define model objectives, constraints, and metrics with customers
• Estimate project timelines
• Identify and evaluate training and prediction data sources
• Prepare and clean data
• Perform feature engineering on models
• Select model type
• Train and evaluate models
• Deploy models
• Assist in model result visualization
• Explain model results
• Stay current with academic research and commercial developments in the machine learning field

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related fields
• At least 2 years of professional experience with machine learning, neural networks / deep learning
• Experience with software development in python
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Excellent verbal/written communication and organization skills

Desired Qualifications:

• Master’s or PhD Degree preferred
• Experience in any of the following:
  1. natural language processing / computational linguistics
  2. mathematical modeling
  3. statistics and forecasting
  4. geospatial analysis
  5. data pipeline engineering
• US Citizenship to work with some government customers
