POSITION SUMMARY The Senior Director of Programs provides organization-wide programmatic leadership for Wesley-Rankin Community Center's two-campus model, assuming the program oversight responsibilities previously held by the COO. The role supervises the West Dallas Program Directors and the Pleasant Grove Director of Programs, as well as the Data Analyst, sets programmatic vision and direction in partnership with the COO, keeps programs data-driven and continuously improving, and represents WRCC with key program partners and the community. The Senior Director of Programs reports to the Chief Operating Officer.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Program Leadership & Supervision
Supervise the West Dallas Program Directors, the Pleasant Grove Director of Programs, and the Data Analyst.
Coach program leaders and support operational problem solving.
Lead cross-campus program leadership meetings and alignment.
Work with the COO to implement the strategic plan, providing general programmatic leadership, vision, and direction.
Program Strategy & Quality
Oversee the annual update of the Program Manual, keeping it constantly current.
Develop programmatic recommendations based on data and community need.
Direct the Evaluation department’s work to determine and monitor KPIs and outcomes, ensuring staff and programs remain data-driven.
Monitor program outcomes and create efficiencies in program processes to drive success.
Oversee consistent program standards, protect the program models and continuous quality improvement process.
Lead and support the team in vetting and selecting curriculum and assessments.
Oversee the Bridge 2 College & Career Scholarship program, working with the Director of Adult Education and Leadership Council.
External & Community Relations & Engagement
Represent WRCC with key program partners.
Oversee program partner appreciation and recruitment efforts carried out by Directors and Managers.
Build and assess community relationships to understand program-level needs.
Ensure that the community engagement feedback from West Dallas and Pleasant Grove leaders and meetings makes its way through programming, in collaboration with Directors and program staff.
Financial Oversight
Monitor budget performance across programs and make recommendations.
Reporting & Compliance
Lead grant reporting related to programs.
Oversee general agency impact reporting.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS Required
Bachelor's degree in social work, education, nonprofit management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum five years of progressively responsible program leadership experience.
Ability to operate successfully and independently at the big-picture level, the strategy level, and the tactics/day-to-day level as the needs arise.
Experience supervising program directors or managers.
Experience using data to drive program decisions and continuous quality improvement.
Excellent communication, leadership, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
Preferred
Master's degree in a related field.
Experience leading programs across multiple sites.
Experience with curriculum and assessment selection.
