Description
The Corporate Event Planner is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering high-quality corporate meetings, executive engagements, and enterprise events that support Leidos’ growth and mission objectives.Operating within the Marketing & Brand Experiences organization, this role serves as a key member of the Corporate Events team and provides end-to-end strategic event planning across the enterprise. The Corporate Event Planner translates business objectives into professionally executed experiences that strengthen executive engagement, stakeholder relationships, and organizational and brand alignment.
This is an execution-focused role with enterprise visibility and accountability for experience quality, brand consistency, and operational excellence. The Corporate Event Planner operates independently in high-profile environments, frequently supporting senior executives and priority stakeholders, and ensures each experience reflects the professionalism and strategic intent of the Leidos brand.
Success will be measured by the seamless execution of events, stakeholder satisfaction, adherence to budgets and policies, brand consistency, and the ability to manage multiple complex engagements simultaneously.
Responsibilities
Event Planning & Execution
- Plan and execute corporate meetings, conferences, executive events, and special engagements across the U.S.
- Manage event venue site searches and oversee third-party vendor engagement, including RFP distribution and negotiations.
- Coordinate catering, audio-visual services, facility management, conference materials development, and onsite staffing.
- Provide comprehensive logistical support including attendee registration management, group travel coordination, and event technology services.
- Build and manage web-based event registration sites and communications (e.g., Cvent).
- Provide concierge-level event service to senior executives, including the CEO, Executive Leadership Team, and Board of Directors.
- Travel (up to 20%) as required to support key meetings and events; occasional evening/weekend work may be necessary.
Stakeholder Engagement & Executive Support
- Serve as the primary point of contact for event stakeholders, maintaining a customer-service mindset and high level of care.
- Work closely with executives and enterprise leaders to ensure alignment on event objectives and execution details.
- Interact confidently with all levels of management in high-touch, protocol-sensitive environments.
- Ensure all events adhere to corporate policies and applicable Federal Government regulations.
Event Technology, Budgeting & Financial Management
- Manage budgeting, cost tracking, financial reconciliation, and supplier procurement processes.
- Track cost savings and ensure financial accountability across assigned events.
- Coordinate invoice processing and reconciliation activities.
- Maintain and organize event documentation and archived materials.
Operations, Metrics & Continuous Improvement
- Conduct post-event evaluations, including online surveys and hot-wash meetings.
- Track return on experience (ROE) and stakeholder feedback to inform improvements.
- Identify opportunities to enhance processes, efficiencies, and overall event experience quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of experience in meeting management, conference planning, event technology, or related field; or Master’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience. Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree requirements.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent events in a fast-paced, professional environment.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality, detail-oriented results.
- Strong executive presence and experience supporting senior leadership.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Customer-service oriented with a high-touch, concierge-level service approach.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with event technology platforms such as Cvent; ability to create and maintain registration sites, surveys, and email communications.
- Collaborative team player capable of navigating complex scenarios with professionalism and confidence.
- Ability to work on-site in Reston, VA (3 days per week) and travel as required.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $65,650.00 - $118,675.00
The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
